my favorite mario kart

This is like the only game my roommates and I played together for my entire 2nd year of college. Hanson and I would be up to ungodly hours trying to beat the expert/fast ghosts in the time trials. We'd also run games of beerio kart where we'd be completely smashed before we even made it through the 2nd grand prix lol. At the end of the year, we had the genius idea of running back beerio kart with four lokos, and to this very day that was still the worst hangover I've ever experienced. Played all my hours on a gamecube controller which made the driving and drifting very easy. I have no idea how the fuck people play on the wii remote/wheel but mad respects to the people who do.

I exclusively played on the wheel growing up. Was actually pretty intuitive. To add, this game was a monumental jump from double dash on the GameCube. We had never seen bikes let alone jumps that we could do tricks on. The maps were also iconic, with the famous coconut mall that eventually became a meme that you could send to your friends. The meme was, and I quote “you just got COCONUT MALLED. Send this to one of your friends, so you can totally COCONUT MALL them.”

Christopher was just telling me he was like 900 rank on the wheel only…I was blown away. Agreed that this was the best Mario kart
