The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the fourth game in the Elder Scrolls story, is set within the province of Cyrodiil, the heartland and Imperial capital of Tamriel. Emperor Uriel Septim VII is assassinated in flight from his own palace, but just before he dies he passes on to you the mystic Amulet of Kings. The adventure proper begins with the quest to find Uriel's lost and illegitimate son who is the only heir to the throne. In a world where the forces of darkness seek their ultimate dominion over the ranks of man and mer alike, you alone stand between the future of Tamriel and the gates of Oblivion.

Sculpting the most fucked up looking radioactive green orc in the character creator is worth the price of admission alone. In nearly all ways a step down from Morrowind, though still enjoyable.
the buggy npcs, the dialogue, the quests. God damn. this is peak bethesda, bugs and all. I fucking love this game. Estimating my hours across original, remastered, xbox, etc.
its just so damn charming!
I first saw the game when i was at my friends house. He had used console commands to give his character max stealth and hand to hand skill. He spent all of his time running around killing people from the shadows. I WAS HOOKED, and now i own 10 different versions of the game.
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is (in my opinion) the best elder scrolls. The story is super captivating, and the world is lush with too many things to do. Not to mention its has (again.. in my opinion) the BEST side quest storyline video game RPG history with the dark brother hood storyline. From an excellent opening to an awe inspiring DLC the game is perfect.
The MungMaxxing capabilities in this game are infinite.
I only docked it a half point because sometimes you can run into a game breaking glitch... Oh well!
