The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth waaaay too much content
This serves as my review for rebirth, afterbirth+, and repentance+
This game, along with DLCs, offers huge huge upgrades from the original/wrath of the lamb. There are so many new items, new bosses and endings, countless item interactions (the ones that did not work in the first game have all been added), and way fewer bugs. There are also an insane amount of characters and achievements/completion marks required to truly 1001+% the game. Nearly 800 hrs in and I'm only at about 73% completion.
Idk what else to say. It's not necessarily the #1 most difficult, fun, high stakes, or engaging game, nor is it one you play for the story. But it's a game I can easily see myself playing for 800 hrs more.
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! This game caused me to learn a new IRL skill
Mario Kart Double Dash is a fantastic title.
It's so fantastic that I ended up throwing my gamecube at my wall in a fit of rage while dying on rainbow road on the All cup 150 cc mode. It not only caused me to break the game system that I had spent my youth playing on, but now I had to explain why there was a giant hole in my wall. However, the coolest thing is that after this incident I learned how spackle, which is a skill I still use today for....reasons. But pretty cool how a video game can influence such a growth sigma mindset.
No but in all honesty, this game is goated because it's the only mario kart that is 2 dudes 1 Kart. And additionally, these characters have unique items designated to them which is also super creative and beats the modern mario kart 8 lame cycle of the same 8 items. The handling and drift features are also super strong, too. Balloon mode is also goated, and I would say the best out of any Mario Kart. Also, the character design - best out of any mario kart.
Now the downsides - everyone eventually caught on that you could just spam koopas to win since they spawn a triple red shell special every dice roll and even in second place. Additionally, besides 150cc, the rest of the 100 and 50cc is super easy to progress and win in as you reach a point where if you learn the course and like, how to just handle the kart, you will just beat all the NPC. Also, yeah there is no online mode which sucks because I don't have friends to play this with anymore. I mean online really wouldn't matter either - I'd still not have friends to play with. It's okay the imaginary ones will do.
Despite the improvements that could have been made, and the fact that I broke my wall, the game is still goated and I did learn a new IRL skill so while I originally was going to give this a 8/10, I'll give it a 9/10.
